Sunset Photography Workshop Cleveland.
This image was taken during a Sunset Photography Workshop Cleveland for The Brisbane Photography Meetup Group,
8 photographers attended the workshop from Beginners through to Intermediate Shooters.
The aim of this workshop was to explain and demonstrate the use of Neutral Density Filters and the effect they have on an image.
The meeting point was just in from of The Light House Hotel and Restaurant and the attention was to get some nice images of the derelict pier on the Raby Bay side of Cleveland Point.
The weather was not on our side on this particular day with the cloud dropping just before Sunset Photography Workshop Cleveland.
Sunset Photography Workshop Cleveland. The Shot.
This particular shot was taken after the sun had set. I generally keep my White Balance Set to Cloudy and noticed that the light pollution form Cleveland and The Port Of Brisbane on the horizon was causing an orange glow in the sky.
I decided to take advantage of this effect.
The camera was setup on a tripod with the following settings:-
- Nikon D800.
- Nikor 18-35mm Lens @ 18mm
- ISO 50.
- White Balance Cloudy.
- Exposure 2 Minutes.
- NSI Digital 2 Stop Neutral Density Filter.
The image was captured in RAW and then processed in Adobe Photoshop using Nik’s Software Colour EFx4
